What are the ingredients in your candles/products?

Our candles contain two ingredients: organic beeswax and vegan fragrance oils. There are no toxins contained in our products, and they are free from phthalates, parabens, and paraffins.

What is the burn time on your candles?

Since our candle base is beeswax and our wicks are wooden, our products have a longer burn time than candles with other bases and wicks. You can expect our 10 oz candles to burn for approximately 90-120 hours (equivalent to 30 days).
What do I do if my wick isn’t burning properly? Is it my fault? Your fault?

No, it is not your fault! If you have never burned a wood wick candle, do not fret, I can help you and save the candle. When burning your candle, you want to ensure that you light the wick across the candle instead of one end. By lighting your wick across your candle, it burns evenly. On your initial burn, make sure you burn the candle so that the wax melts out to the edge of the glass. This may take 30 minutes to an hour. On rare occasions, the wood wick may be faulty. If a defective candle wick is faulty, you may be eligible for store credit as compensation.
Do your candles come in different sizes?

Hive and Haven’s candles only come in 10oz. In the future, we are hoping to have varying sizes!
How long does shipping take once I place my order?

Shipping usually occurs within 5-8 business days (Monday- Friday) once payment is made. If a shipment is prolonged, Hive and Haven will send an email based on the provided address, notifying you that there is a delay and the reason.
What if I enter the wrong mailing address for my order?

Please double-check to ensure that your address is correct. Hive and Haven is not liable for any address errors, and refunds will not be issued.
Are refunds available?

Unfortunately, we do not issue refunds. However, Hive Havenmay give store credit on your behalf if something is wrong with your candle. If you believe there is an issue with your product, please email us at info@thehive.com.
Are your candles sold in local stores?

Yes! We sell our candles in one local store: Buchanan Farms in Broadway, NC.

Candle Care

Candles are a great way to create happiness and produce delightful aromas in your home. However, proper candle care is essential to ensure the safety of yourself and your surroundings. Here are some necessary candle care instructions you should know before burning your candle.

Hive and Haven is not responsible for any damages caused to your home or environment.

  • Remove all packaging and place candle on a heat-resistant surface.

  • DO NOT burn your candle for more than 3-4 hours per lighting.

  • Keep the wick trimmed to ¼ of an inch to prevent a smoking candle.

  • Keep your candles out of drafty areas as this will cause candles to smoke/burn unevenly.

  • NEVER allow a flame to touch the glass surface.

  • Please discontinue use when ½ inch of wax remains at the bottom.

  • NEVER leave your burning candle unattended.
